Baby Nappy Bags | and everything that goes in them.

Baby Nappy Bags.

The birth of a new baby is a wonderful thing, a new little life, so precious, so vulnerable, and so perfect. There is so much to learn and so much to get used to especially if this is your first baby, and you will find that there so many choices of different products and services to help you along the way. A Good nappy bag will be one of the most important accessories that you will need for baby, and you will use it nearly on a daily basis. Baby nappy bags come in lots and lots of different styles, shapes, sizes and colors. It is just up to you to choose one that is suitable to you and does everything you need it to do.

Baby nappy bags carry everything you need when you are out and about with your baby, whether you are at the park, the beach, doing the shopping or visiting friends or family, it carries everything you need. So there are lots of things to consider before you purchase your baby nappy bag, including how much stuff will you need to carry, and therefore how big will the bag need to be. Some baby nappy bags are actually quite small in size, while others are really very large, and some parents actually find it beneficial to have 2 different bags altogether, one for the small trips and outings, where you don’t feel that you require much stuff for baby, and another one that allows for you to carry a lot more things, when you are planning to be out for the whole day.

Personally I feel that if you choose wisely in the first place, that you should be able to just have the one bag, I would not want to have multiple baby nappy bags, I would get confused as to which one I needed to take. So make sure you think about what you will need, and how much space that will take up, also whether you would prefer a backpack style, carry bag, sling bag, or one that allows you to carry it in a variety of ways.

Some of the kinds of things you are going to have to carry with your baby will include:
A change mat to lay baby on
Spare nappies, fabric or disposable type
Baby wipes, powder and creams
Bags for soiled clothing and nappies
Nappy rash cream
Extra clothing for baby
Bibs, burping cloths and pacifier
Bottles and formula if bottle feeding
Solid foods and snacks as baby grows

Another important point about baby nappy bags is the layout of the bags, and the number and the positioning of the pockets within the bags. Some tend to have plenty of pockets to hold all of the little bits and pieces while others just have a main compartment where everything goes. Both have their pros and cons, and mainly it comes down to what you as the user, prefer. Ideally I think you’ll need a certain amount of pockets, just to keep everything at hands reach when you are changing baby’s nappy, it will make it easier and less frustrating if you know where things are and can easily lay your fingers on them.

My best advice is to do your research before you buy, if you are buying online, read the reviews, and see if the purchasers of the baby nappy bags were satisfied and happy with their choices. One in particular that I think is a great buy, because of its ability to be comfortably carried or hung from the stroller, the 10 pockets it has for organization, its color, style and all round great usability, is the Skip Hop Dash Canvas nappy (diaper) bag. It comes in a few different colors to choose from as well, it really is one of the stylish and functional baby nappy bags you will love.

is it still too soon to get started?

Is 20-22 weeks too early to set up the nursery?

Hi, I have asked this question before and people told me to wait a little longer, after thinking about it I decided they were right, what do you think of this though, is it a little too soon still?

I am 16 weeks pregnant today, last time I asked I was 10 weeks. I want to get the nursery set up because we have had people giving us so much stuff that we have no where for, also we are renovating the house in a month or so and I dont want dust to cover everything for the baby. (I know not a good time to renovate but we HAVE to do it now because of the baby and wedding at the end of the year..) I have my next ob-gyn appointment coming up, I dont quiet know when because I have to arrange travel and all sorts, but we will be finding out the gender, I think I will be around 20-22 weeks by then and I am still being told that it will be too early to set up?

When I say we have been given everything I mean we have been given,
x2 cots
x2 change tables
x42 cloth nappies
x1 baby bath
x6 HUGE bags of toys
x4 bags of baby shampoos, soaps, creams etc.
x7 Cot Sheets
x1 Bassinet
x5 unisex outfits
x3 boys outfits
x2 girls outfits

the list keeps going, it is all sitting in our shed and in our bed room. Our spare room is full of other stuff for the renovations and the room we have set aside for baby is full of baby stuff that I havent had a chance to go through.

I really want to get set up when we know the gender so that it is a calm place and even if the renovations arent finished by the time baby comes we will have somewhere for him/her…

is 20-22 weeks too early??

(sorry about the jumbledness I'm a little frazzled at the moment)

No, i don't think that it is too early at all, it all comes down to personal preference, i think you can set it up anytime you like, i understand about the renovations, we are going through the same things, i am also due on the 19th of june so i'm sixteen weeks also :-) so i will probably set up our nursey at 20-22 weeks also, so don't stress, you do what ever is going to be comfortable and convenient for you and your partner, good luck and congrats :-)

Wanting to buy a Storksak Nappy Bag?

I am trying to buy a new nappy bag and have decided on the StorkSak range. I am trying to find out the name (model) of the storksak bag i really like. Would appreciate any help. The best description i can give you is that it is very similar to the "Emily" model but its in leather. I have been on the storksak site and numerous other baby sites trying to locate the name of it so i can then track it down and buy it so if there are any storksak fans out there who can help it would be much appreciated.
I am in Australia. One of the girls in my mothers group has it but doesn't know which one it is as she got it as a gift.

I am a storksak fan- I want to get the Emily in black but am worried it won't be big enough.

I don't know of a storksak in leather that is in the same slouch style as Emily. The Jamie (Brad Pitt one) and the Elizabeth are in leather, but they are totally different styles.

Do you have any other info? What country are you located in?

It may be in the 'babymel' range- which is still made by storksak but is a different collection. They are also a lot more affordable.

We spent near on a thousand pounds on our first baby six years ago we had a lot more money then because we had no kids and both worked we have just had our second baby and spent around £500 because after having your first you realise that you don't need half the stuff you think you do. Good luck and enjoy buying new things for your baby its so much fun, Just don't open your bank statements!

i am in the u.k, are hospitals here the same as in america? do they provide alot?

ooooh camera! lol! that would be useful, i'd forgotten that!!! lol

Sounds like you are more then prepared. When I had my baby I just made sure I had enough stuff for me to be comfortable. And, really all you need for the baby is an outfit to come home in (maybe an extra in case) A blanket or two, depending on weather and a hat or two for the trip home. You shouldn’t need diapers or wipes or anything. The hospital will provide all that. And, make sure to have the car seat ready, which you probably already do. Congrats! It so exiting!

the most important thing to get for the baby to wear for the first month is clothing with mitten cuffs!!!
when they are newborns they need them so they don't scratch their face, but hardly any of the outfits have them. I really like the one piece romper things which have legs and feet and mitten cuffs. you can also get the rompers without them and just put on one of those long sleeved mitten cuffed shirts underneath it.
as far as those shirts are concerned, i'd get the snap-front if you can, those are easier to put on than the ones that go over the head.
i wish i had known about this beforehand because i would have made different choices about clothing that i bought!!

On Wednesday 7th May, 2008 I had the pleasure presenting the MELOBABY all-in-one nappy wallet + change mat on Channel 9’s “Mornings with Kerri-Anne”. The show was doing a special on ‘Mum entrepreneurs’ - mothers who had produced something since becoming a mother. Geoff Morgan from Morgan & Banks was a special guest and was advising on the best way to start a new business.

If you have traveled with babies in Mexicana airlines then I need your help?

I'm traveling with my six month old baby in Mexicana airlines next month and I want to know if my baby can have his own carry on bag, so that I won't have to fit his stuff like nappies and all that in my carry on bag. I know I'll be able to do it in british airways but I don't know if babies are allowed to have their own carry on. Help me if you can. Thanks.

Are infants entitled to luggage allowance?
Yes. The infant is entitled to transport one piece of luggage. The maximum weight allowed, depends on the route flown.
32 kg. -piece system-
10 kg. -weight system-
