How much have you spent so far on your unborn baby ?

hiya i still have lots of things to buy for my baby that is due in March 09 !
We have currently spent £750 on the following:
Cotbed
Wardrobe
Dresser
Cot bed mattress
cot bedding - i love my bear range from mothercare
nursey accesories - for example a few pics for walls etc - i love my bear range from mothercare
moses basket
baby bath
changing mat
scrapbook
We still have everything else to buy for example the pram, clothes, feeding equipment etc for breastfeeding, bouncer. hospital bag, nappies etc !!!!!
How much has everyone else spent ? Didnt think it would be this expensive !!!!

We spent near on a thousand pounds on our first baby six years ago we had a lot more money then because we had no kids and both worked we have just had our second baby and spent around £500 because after having your first you realise that you don't need half the stuff you think you do. Good luck and enjoy buying new things for your baby its so much fun, Just don't open your bank statements!

I've spent entirely too much. Close to $800. And you don't even know the half of it. The diapers and formula really add up in the first few months after the baby is born, as do wipes, bath supplies, etc. Be prepared. Babies aren't cheap.

i bought everything before she was born lol
i stocked up on 600 nappies, bought 3 massive boxes of huggies(200 in each box)
i bought all the clothes she would need in sizes newborn,0-3,3-6 and 6-9 so when i was on maternity leave i wouldnt have that expenditure
and all the big things like pram, cot and all the other you listed
i probably spent about £1,500-2000 altogether before she was born! but i havnt spent hardly anything since she has been born and shes 12weeks old so it isnt to bad, only wipes i think oh and calpol/tylenol and next size up dummies and teats
all cheap stuff
i think it worked well becasue i bought one big item each month form my 5month of pregnancy to the end and by the ned i had everything a baby needs and doesnt really need but i liked lol

i have two kids and i have never actually kept track on how much i spent i just know it was alot! $400 on my sons carseat and stroller alone. i don't have ALOT of money but i do like to buy my kids and i nice things

I haven't bought anything yet and I'm 32 weeks. Everything I have so far is hand-me-down.
I have a bassinet, tons of clothes, 3 diaper bags, sheets, blankets, baby bath, stroller, two car seats.
Of course I still have a lot to buy but I'm waiting until after my baby shower to go shopping.

Haven't actually spent any money yet but I've been doing a lot of "window shopping"!! I'm only 15 weeks and I do not know the sex yet so I can't actually shop for baby things. I can't wait to start.

So far I've spent NOTHING! lol
This will be my 3rd child so I still have a moses basket, cot, furniture etc etc. Everything else ie: bath, steriliser, monitors etc etc my cousin has since she had a baby boy last Feb. Was given baby blankets for pram/moses basket today and have plenty of clothes ready dependant on whether it's a boy or girl.
The only thing I want to buy is a new pram =)
I guess I'm lucky because for the last 15 years there's been a baby born into my family every year so none of us wanted for anything.
Good thing really because I'd forgotten how expensive babys are!!

my sis baby due early summer, she spent so far around £130 on clothes, bottles, steriliser, baby gym thing, swinging seat n bouncy chair,
£700 on a pram with everything ( carry cot, car seat, stroller seat, covers, changing bag, rain covers etc ) shes got iCandy apple, and i have spent about £30 on nappies, toiletries, clothes and its first trike lol

Everytime I went to the store I'd pick something up for her. It's fun! I have my baby shower in 4 weeks, and I fear there isn't much I need.
I have also got alot of hand me downs- crib, mattress, stroller, 2 car seats, and a toddler bed. All free.

look on ebay or your local paper. you dont have to buy new and expensive as most people in same boat..only use them for short time so never actually get worn/tatty/used as much as cost.
ive saved loads of £ from ebay..got a mothercare triple travel system from an ebay shop and a steriliser! biggest expensive il have is the nusrery furniture as i will buy that new. im due apr so know how you feel,its like a never ending list. ive started buying nappies and wipes when theyre on offer in boots etc too

I am only 13 weeks and in the process of finding our house to move into my hubby went to canada today with the army so we have said we can leave a few things till he gets home i.e cot and pushchair etc as he wants to have his input,
so far we have the steriliser(microwave one) £20.00
8 2 x 4 bottles Advent Bottles £11 plus one half price
As the teats on the bottles are for 1mnth+ we had to get o+ they were £3.99
Babygrows £9.00
and white vests £3.50
so £51.99 so far.
Will keep adding to it as time goes on lol.

Well I'm twenty six close to twenty seven weeks now and I've spent WAY too much already. Close to one thousand dollars…and in this recession we're having I didn't think I would be able too. But it's like I can't control it. At first it was a few things here and there. Now that I know what the sex of my baby is, I can't stop buying stuff for my 'little man'. I know it's not even almost over yet though…I have about three months left and still alot of shopping to do. LOL…but I enjoy every second of it.

Right before I tried to get pregnant I used my credit card rewards and got a Target gift card. I spent all that on little things for the expected pregnancy. I bought a few things here and there since then and I had my baby shower on January 4th. Now I'm pretty much all set besides the little stuff like bottles ect… No one bought me any of those but they got all the major things like stroller, swings, bouncers, crib, changing table, a million and half clothes, bath seats… ect. I don't need anything big maybe just the bottles, binkies and diapers now. I have always known I was pregnant, expecially because he keeps me up in the middle of the night but after my baby shower and going through all my stuff at home.. It really hit me.. I'm having a baby!!!!!!!!!!
