This may do better in Pregnancy….
I've bought a few outfits, a crib/cot mattress, a scrapbook and some supplies for it, small changing pad, a pack of diapers, a box and a CASE of wipes (like the plastic thingy and 6 refill packs in the case), some diaper cream, and 3 rubber ducks. I've spent maybe $150 lol (the mattress was on sale).
I was told to not buy much until after the shower, and was given a TON of clothes (and a crib and bedding from my sister).

have you heard of hand-me-downs? most of the stuff the baby could care less and are hardly used. of course you can buy a bed for $1000 along… everything has a price range.
we didn't spend too much. got lots of stuff from my sister and sil's kids. and local thrift store helped too.

Hi yes it does get expensive!!!! With my first i brought everything from undershirts to, footed sleepers, towels, sheets, for the port bebe, sheets for the baby bed, baby bath, changing pads, decorations, sanitizer, bottles, pacifiers, some toys, blankets, mosquito net for the crib, crib bumpers, bibs, spit up towels, and various other accessories, breast pump. Without the stroller, and the bed. All these items listed cost at least 1200 Euro!!! The stroller which came with the port bebe was at 280 euro 3 wheel. The bed with the mattress was around 300euro. So when you start shopping it does add up.
Im due with my second in feb, and what helped me was buying all the newborn clothes neutral, so that way you can keep them for the second child. Now im all set and the shopping that i did for the second was minimal.
Don't forget some other items you will need, maybe not right away, but eventually, Car Seat, High Chair, a Relax or Baby Swing, Another good thing to do is invest in good quality you might spend more now, but its worth it in the long run, if you invest in it now you always have it around for the second baby, that is if your planning on having more than one. I went out an brought everything for the first, car seats, baby bath, high chair, etc, etc, now like i said im all set for the second and dont need to buy much!! Congradulations and good luck.
