Benifits - helps you and the child develop a relationship with one on one time if you use the time to talk and sing with them (not always possible for one on one time in large settings so any one on one time should be well utilized, ask about their day, helps develop their language, parents can be reassured you are doing your best to care for their children and respect them which in turn makes it easier to develop a positive relationship with the family. what you learn - same as dubaimum said
